Amazing Reflection of 2022

Kia ora, 2022 has been an amazing year of fun. It’s my last year at primary and the teachers have asked us to make a reflection so this is my reflection:

Q: What event do I remember the most?
A: The event that I remember the most is athletics day because it was a lot of fun and I was doing well on the high jump which has never happened to me.

Q: What event did I enjoy the most?
A: The event that I enjoyed the most is also athletics day because of the same things.

Q: What subject have I made the best improvements in?
A: The subject I have had the best improvements in was definitely maths because I know a lot more about maths and it’s easier to understand now.

Q: What subject have I enjoyed the most?
A: The subject I have enjoyed the most was maths because of the same things as to why I have made the best improvements in maths and it’s super fun

Q: What new friendships have I made?
A: There are two friendships I have made this year that stick out like a sore thumb and those two friendships are Morgan and Phat. They have been a real helping hand for me and I am going to miss them because they are not in my class next year.

Q: What responsibilities or opportunities have I completed?
A: The responsibility that takes the spotlight was definitely being a house captain, I really enjoyed being a house captain and it really made me confident.

Q: What would I like to share about my 2022?
A: I would like to share a lot about my 2022 but I can’t type out everything so here are some of the things I would like to share. The main thing I would like to share is about camp because it was a fun time with friends and others. The most exciting thing that happened at camp was the Burma trail.

I am going to miss this school because it is my last year. I really enjoyed making friendships and I am not going to forget those friendships.

Goodbye!

Positively Peaceful Parihaka

Kia Ora bloggers!

Today, the fifth of November is Parihaka Remebrance day and for Parihaka day the senior syndicate made headbands with white feathers which is a sign of peace. My headband had some patterns like some Maori patterns and some patterns I made up, and I added three feathers here is a picture:

The story of Parihaka has inspired many people. Land was taken from the Maori in the 1860’s so the people of Parihaka set up a settlement for Maori who had lost their homes. Then the government wanted to take that land from the people of Parihaka, so two leaders named Te Whiti-o-Rongomai and Tohu Kakani led a peaceful protest against the government.

Black Ferns = The Best

Kia Ora

This term TWA have been learning about the Women’s world cup and the Black Ferns have made it to the quarter finales! so I’m excited to watch it but… the All Blacks are on at the same time! It turns out that one of the Black Fern is a Waikōwhai kid so we where asked to write letters to the Black Ferns. The Black Ferns sent us some stuff to support them with.

An Egg-citing Museum Trip

Kia ora

On the 17th of October 2022 the senior syndi-(oh it happened on the 18th of October, okay) as I was say before I got interrupted on the 18th of October 2022 the senior syndicate went for a trip to the Auckland museum. The syndicate was split into 3 groups and those groups were split into groups of four, I was in group 3 and my group of 4 was with Harlem, Brax and Morgan. Half of the syndicate went on one of the buses and the rest went on the second bus. We went there to learn what we need in a disaster and to learn about this terms inquiry which is migration. To find out some of what happened you’ll need to read my slide.

Student fun day

Hello world

In term 1 most students came to a student fun day. In the fun day there were 5 things to do they were a slip ‘n’ slide, pool, obstacle course, inflatable slide and a inflatable pirate ship! The first thing I did was the slip ‘n’ slide the first 3 times I did was sitting down the last 3 were face first!

The second thing I did was the pool. The water was warm because I was cold because the slip ‘n’ slide’s water was cold. I swam in the pool for like 5 minutes and then got out.

The third thing I did was the obstacle course. The course started with a inflatable obstacle course then you would jump over five hurdles next thing you would do was crawl under a parachute then one zigzag through some poles next you would crawl under some bars then you would traverse through the playground And go back to the line. The third time I went through I accidentally got kicked in the head!

The forth and final thing I was the inflatable pirate ship. I’m a house captain so I had to make sure that there were not too many people I had help from Paige, Lewis and Anna who where also house captains, all of us got 2 turns.

Have you done a student fun day?

Goodbye for now
